***Caution***

Reports of a pretty serious jungle/strainer rapid on the Illinois Bayou, below Bayou Bluff Campground and before the guardrail rapid.  River used to run right, but due to high water changing the route now the most water is going left.  For additional info check out the message board at www.arkansascanoeclub.com

Access fee at Moore Outdoors
The property on both sides of the creek at the Twin Bridges is owned by Moore Outdoors.
We charge $2.00 per boat to take out on our property.
This fee includes secure parking on the east-side (the house side, please), easy access to the creek to load or unload boats, and a trash recepticle for any unwanted trash.  Come by the store first, pay, and pick up a permit to be displayed on the dash of the vehicle.

OR

Game & Fish access
Located across and downstream from Moore Outdoors at the Twin Bridges.  No charge.  One drawback is carrying boats up several steps.  Cross both of the bridges, turn left on Silex road to the access.  If you choose to use the Game & Fish access, please DO NOT take out on our bank and drag through our property.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday  9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Long Pool - Twin Bridges)
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Helton's Farm/Treat - Long Pool)
No boats to Helton's after 12:00 p.m.
3 boat minimum for shuttle to Helton's Farm in Moore Outdoor's vehicle.

All boats must be off of the creek by 7:00 p.m.
FYI:  If you are running your own shuttle with Moore Outdoors rental boats and you have to go back to Helton's Farm to get your vehicle you will have to be off the creek by at least 5:00 p.m. in order to get the boats back to us by 7:00 p.m.
 

Moore Outdoors does not run shuttles back to Helton's Farm/Treat in the afternoon.  Make sure you take care of your shuttle in the morning.

Sorry, but we can not run free shuttles back to Long Pool in the afternoon.  Actually, we can not run free shuttles at any time.  We know that things happen and we will try to accommodate, but please realize that there will be a charge to take you to Long Pool due to lost keys, etc.  Please understand that this is not personal.
 

2010 Rates

Canoe rental     $54.50 per canoe, tax included, 2 adults.  Also includes 2 paddles and 2 lifejackets.

Raft rental    $27.25 per person, tax included  4 person minimum on the raft.  Also 5 and 6 person rafts are available, for additional charge of $27.25/person.  Includes 1 paddle and lifejacket per person.

Sit-on-top kayaks (Perception Torrents)     $32.70 per day, tax included.  Includes lifejacket and paddle.
 

Shuttle is NOT included in boat rental rates.
Shuttle to Long Pool (rental boats)    $6.50/canoe or $2.75/person
Shuttle to Helton's Farm/Treat    $50.00/canoe

**There is a $25.00 per/rental-boat deposit required **
**If you are running your own shuttle, there is a $50.00/rental-boat deposit required.**

Boats may be picked up after 8:30 a.m. on the morning of rental and MUST be returned to the store by 8:00 p.m. that evening.  Rental boats must be off the creek by 6:00 p.m. if you are running your own shuttle for the Helton's to Long Pool or Twin Bridges run, and 7:00 p.m. if you are floating from Long Pool to Twin Bridges.

Renter will be charged for all lost and/or damaged equipment.

Shuttles
Long Pool to Twin Bridges    $2.75 per person for rental boats.  Shuttle includes transportation of boats and people to Long Pool.
$10.00 per person for private boats

Helton's Farm to Long Pool or Twin Bridges     $25 per person for rental boats and private boats.  Shuttle includes transportation of boats and people from take-out to Helton's and we pick up rental boats at take-out.

Shuttle drivers
Helton's Farm to Long Pool or Twin Bridges    $50.00     Stop by our store, our driver will ride with you to the Helton's and drive your vehicle to the take-out.  If you rented boats from Moore Outdoors you are responsible for returning the boats to the store by 8:00 p.m.
Long Pool to Twin Bridges    $20.00  Stop by our store, our driver will ride with you to Long Pool and drive your vehicle to Twin Bridges.

If you choose to run your own shuttle you MUST return boats and/or equipment to Moore Outdoors before 8:00 p.m. on the same day as rented.  Do not leave boats/equipment at Long Pool.

Additional charges:
$3.00 parking fee at Long Pool if you are taking out there and not camping
$3.00 per canoe/kayak and $4.00 per raft put-in fee at Helton's Farm

Due to the number of "drive off's", effective 5/15/2008 there will be a $50.00 per boat cash deposit required on boats not shuttled to Helton's by Moore Outdoors.   This means if you choose to run your own shuttle we will have to have a deposit.
If you run your own shuttle you must bring the boats/equipment back to Moore Outdoors, do not leave your boats at Long Pool unless Moore Outdoors took you and your boat to Helton's in our vehicles.  If you hired a shuttle driver, you are responsible for bringing the boats back to Moore Outdoors.  Boats must be returned to the store before 8:00 p.m.  If boats are returned by 8:00 p.m., deposit will be returned to renter.  If not, deposit will be forfeited.
 

Absolutely no glass allowed on our creeks and rivers!
